$10,000 to assist the CMSD to develop and implement a district wide standards-based literacy system for Pre-K through grade 12

Cleveland Municipal School District
$10,000 for local match funds for the Reading is Fundamental book distribution program

Cleveland Sight Center
$5,000 for Bright Futures, an early childhood program for visually impaired children

Old Stone Foundation
$5,000 for the Parenting and Literacy Program Specialist

Positivie Education Program
$10,000 for bibliotherapy, a literature-based program to help at-risk students cope more successfully with emotional, behavioral and learning disabilities

Salvation Army
$10,000 to provide computer instruction, homework assistance and tutoring to elementary school children at the East Cleveland Learning Center

West Side Catholic Center
$9,000 for literacy programming for children living in the shelter

West Side Ecumenical Ministry
for literacy tutoring for youth in the School-Age Initiatives program

Youth Opportunities Unlimited
$9,500 to support academic retention and enhancement services for students in the East Cleveland City Schools
